Farmhouse (CLOSED)

Farmhouse is a tavern-style restaurant offering a locally sourced and seasonal Midwestern menu, including craft beer, liquor and Michigan wines. The delicious comfort food  dishes and condiments are all made from scratch. The warm environment is punctuated by excellent service. The décor of salvaged materials from throughout Chicagoland makes for a comfortable and welcoming experience.

Tortoise Club

Tortoise Club offers an old school, fine dining, chop house experience. You’ll find a sophisticated menu of expertly prepared American cuisine, steaks and seafood. Enjoy live Chicago jazz music too. The service is amazing, top notch! Perfect for a special occasion.  

Pump Room

A modern twist on the old Pump Room. Delicious food is served in a cool, lively environment. You will find a modern contemporary approach to a classic American menu that uses regional ingredients. The late night menu includes tapas style small plates. The beverage program offers an international selection of beers, specialty cocktails, and an excellent collection of wines. No jackets required.  

Benny’s Chop House (CLOSED)

Benny’s is a classic steak house with a modern appeal. Steaks are offered as wet-aged, dry-aged, and natural prime. You’ll find a large selection of fresh seafood and pork, lamb and veal chops as well. The beverage program includes an extensive wine list and signature cocktails. 

ZED451 (CLOSED)

ZED451 is a sleek, sophisticated multi-course meal experience. Specially prepared meats are prepared tableside and fresh offerings are abundant on the seasonal Harvest Tables. The service is excellent in this upscale nightclub atmosphere.

BIG & little's

It’s a fast food joint with a gourmet twist! BIG & Little’s offers the seafood fast-food eater some unique and delicious options. Their shrimp and seafood po’ boys and fish tacos get rave reviews. Of course, you can always get a mountain-sized hamburger along with a side some truffle fries.

Markethouse (closed)

Markethouse offers a seasonal menu of locally sourced produce and meats. Fresh herbs and vegetables are grown in their own rooftop garden. Along with the contemporary American cuisine there is a full bar which includes an infused vodka from their one-of-a-kind “Martini Garden.”

Trios of Guacamole

While I’m a fan of Mercadito’s tacos – particularly the shrimp with chipotle mojo and avocado – my favorite item on the menu is the seasonal guacamole. The restaurant makes really nice guacamoles that start with a base that’s the perfect blend of smooth and chunky avocado. Then they add fruits and vegetables that are reflections of the season, and it’s always fun to see what they’re using. A recent favorite is the piña, which is made with pineapple, grilled Serrano, and tomatillo pico de gallo.
