Few things are more cheers-worthy than chips, especially when said chips have been satisfying diners for almost 100 years. The housemade potato chips at Lawry’s The Prime Rib are as seasoned as the McCormick Mansion in which the storied restaurant resides, and along with adjacent sister restaurant SideDoor, the two are celebrating history with some fried spuds.

Share Your Soles for Dessert

Governor Quinn and Mayor Emanuel have named September 12 National Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Day, and September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. This year, Bear Necessities is collecting lightly worn gym shoes to use for a public display on September 14 as an homage to the thousands affected by pediatric cancer. After the display, the shoes will be donated to non-profit organization Share Your Soles.
