Sushi School is in Session
School is in session and the curriculum is raw fish. Unlike most schooling, beleaguered with homework and detention, sushi school at Shaw’s Crab House Chicago features a lesson you can eat.
Sushi sensei Naoki Nakashima plays the role of teacher, a revered authority on all things Japanese and edible. He’ll curate hands-on sushi lessons at Shaw’s Chicago on April 26 and May 31, each one from noon until 3:00 pm, affording attendees the opportunity to learn from the master the nitty gritty of the Japanese kitchen. The April 26 class concentrates on how to make Acapulco Rolls and tuna tartare, while the May lesson plan features tuna maki, inarizushi, and temarizushi. Both classes include beverages, a takeaway gift, and lunch, likely making this the first class you’ve attended where you get to eat your assignment.
