DIY Pasta and Punch Classes
School is in session, and the curriculum du jour features pasta and punch. Food- and drink-lovers alike will revel in the new DIY classes taking place at The Winchester and Punch House, as each spot prepares to host educational classes in the coming weeks.
First up is The Winchester, which is hosting a pasta-making class on February 24 as part of a new monthly series hosted in the restaurant’s upstairs Sun Room. The DIY pasta series teaches attendees how to make various types of pasta each month, starting with linguini this month and followed by gnocchi in March. After class, guests get to sit down and enjoy their handiwork along with a wine pairing selected by owner Chris Pappas.
On the slightly boozier side, Punch House is giving guests the opportunity to get up close and personal with their namesake potable. On March 4, the subterranean Pilsen haunt teaches guests how to make their own punch, with partner Will Duncan serving as instructor for the evening event. The class delves into the lore of punch and guides attendees on Pisco Punch, all while they nosh on fondue platters.
