Cider House Rules by the River
Found Kitchen and Social House is poised to kick off their new Moveable Feast craft dinner series with a special cider shindig on October 8. The mission for Moveable Feast is to celebrate Found’s special rapport with local farmers, artisans, and purveyors, taking Found fans to dine in different locations around Chicago for each event. The inaugural affair is a homecoming of sorts for Found’s owner Amy Morton and chef Nicole Pederson, as they will be teaming up with Virtue Cider’s Greg Hall, the man who first introduced the pair three years ago.
The cider-centric event is the perfect foray into fall, taking place at 6:30 pm on October 8 at one of Chicago’s original boathouses at 4108 North Rockwell Street. Seasonal dishes are curated by Pederson, adjoined by ciders from Virtue, with proceeds from the event benefitting Found Chicago Boarding and Training Center, a canine rescue organization located on the same block as the boathouse.
Stay tuned for more monthly Moveable Feasts from Found, including “A Virgin Vegetable Orgy” in November, “Pagan Days” in December, “Farmer Market in January?” and other seasonal soirees.
