We could all use a little guidance in the kitchen now and again. It’s especially helpful when said guidance comes from a top tier chef such as Mercadito’s Patricio Sandoval, a River North titan rolling out new culinary classes tonight. Mercadito’s Sandoval capitalizes on summer grilling season with this week’s “Get the Rub on Grilling” interactive dinners.
Mosey over to Mercadito for Sandoval’s grilling demonstration and five-course dinner. Dubbed “Get the Rub on Grilling,” the lesson could not be more apropos for summer dining, featuring tasty tidbits on how to incorporate Mexican flavors and techniques into summer barbecue. The lessons take place at 6:30 pm at Double A below Mercadito. As Sandoval demonstrates a myriad of dishes, guests will be able to instantly reap the rewards via a cocktail-paired degustation. Some menu highlights include “Mole-Q” carnitas tacos, guajillo-arbol chile-marinated steak, and peachy guacamole.
