25 Days of Gibsons

It’s with much fanfare that the Gold Coast titan turns the big 25, marked by a nearly month-long spree of prize giveaways, a new cut of steak on the menu, and discount specials.

For a quarter of a decade, Gibsons’ flagship location on Rush Street has been a magnet for celebrities, bigwig hobnobbers, and adamant steak aficionados. To this day, the restaurant remains one of the most consistently popular restaurants in Chicago, a perpetual draw for locals and out-of-towners alike. The 25th birthday for such a culinary juggernaut mandates ample celebration, which kicks off March 27 with “25 Days of Gibsons,” wherein more than $25,000 worth of prizes will be doled out to patrons, culminating with a grand prize all-expenses paid trip to Napa Valley.

Finally, Gibsons releases a new permanent menu item with its Gibsons 42 Chop, so named for Chicago Bears’ NFL MVP Sid Luckman, aka number 42. This 32-ounce behemoth is aged for seven weeks, chock full of beefy flavor.
