New Restaurants Hop aboard the Delivery Bandwagon
Thanks to the huge uptick in varied restaurant delivery options in Chicago in recent years, people can essentially bring the restaurant dining experience into their own home or office. This is especially true with the latest wave of delivery entrants, including Eataly and GT Fish & Oyster.
Bring a taste of Eataly’s Italian feast to your desk through Caviar delivery service. Eataly now offers lunch delivery of select menu items through the service, which features a curated list of Eataly’s most popular lunch items. The focal point of lunch delivery is the panino selection, available with various hand-sliced meats on wood-oven baked bread.
Another new restaurant delivery option is GT Fish & Oyster. River North’s preeminent seafood destination is now accessible from both Grub Hub and Caviar, affording lunch options much improved over the standard desk fare, with items like GT’s famous lobster roll, clam chowder, tuna BLT sandwich, oyster po’boy sliders, and lobster-flecked mac and cheese.
Chicken & Farm Shop inside Soho House is another newcomer to the delivery fray. Home or office delivery is newly available via Grub Hub and Caviar as well, for lunch or dinner.
In other delivery news, there’s a new menu in place at takeout- and delivery-oriented Thank You. in Logan Square. The diminutive Chinese spot, located adjacent to Lost Lake tiki bar, rolled out a summer menu courtesy of Justin Tootla and Jennifer Jackson of Pickle and Chub. Together, they’ve spearheaded a menu inspired by the unique regional facets of China, featuring items like xian bing Chinese hand pies, charred cabbage salad, five-spice beef dumplings, chow fun, and shi fu peanut snacks.
