My Idea Of A Perfect Meal...

By Leslie Wester

It's so difficult to create a perfect meal since there are so many options. I think that I would start with the fried calamari from Club Lucky that could feed an army. It is slightly seasoned with a light batter and fried to perfection. For dinner it would be a toss up between the homemade 8 Finger Cavatelli with marinara sauce from Club Lucky. It's a thick, doughy pasta covered with  their delicious tomato marinara that's a little chunky, but spiced to perfection. The other perfect entree would be the Rock Island Arsenal from Roots. It's a delicious sandwich, so this would be more like the perfect lunch than dinner, but it's a homemade sausage stuffed between two fried mozzarella sticks slathered in delicious tomato sauce served on garlic bread. For dessert I would have to say the Warm Toll House Cookie sundae at Club Lucky. It's a warm, delicious cookie covered in hot fudge and ice cream and caramel. That would always be the perfect end to a meal. For drinks, a martini to start and some malbec or chianti to go along with the cavatelli or a kolsch beer to go along with the Rock Island Arsenal.
