Summer Saturdays got a little lovelier, with the recent addition of The NOSH, a new food market taking place in Wicker Park each weekend.
The outdoor food festival, which is setting up at the A.N. Pritzker School playground on the corner of Damen and Evergreen from 11:00 am-6:00 pm, will feature more than 20 vendors, ranging from established restaurants and up and coming producers.
The first week, edibles included lobster rolls from Da Lobsta, lamb sandwiches from Mr. Spanky’s, and pie from First Slice pies, and the goal is to become a permanent market with regular vendors.
Green City Market is offering Edible Garden Workshops that summer and fall that will help you improve your garden game. On July 20, the class focuses on planting fall crops such as carrots, turnips, and beets. Future classes will be held on August 24, September 21, and October 19.
