Smokeout Fest of the Summer

There’s nothing like a good cookout to celebrate summer in the city. Curated by Bub City, Windy City Smokeout is poised for a return run July 11 through July 13, marking its second annual summer festival bringing together country music, beer, and barbecue aplenty.

Taking place at Grand Avenue on the Chicago River, this year’s lineup of meaty participants hails from Chicago and beyond, including Pappy’s Smokehouse from St. Louis, The Salt Lick from Driftwood, Texas, and Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, which will open its first Chicago location next year. Chicago will be well represented by Smoque, Lillie’s Q, Chicago q, and of course Bub City.

Musical performers feature the likes of Bretty Eldredge on July 11, Randy Rogers Band on July 12, and Eli Young Band on July 13.
