Raising the Bar on Backyard Barbecues

There’s nothing quite like a good old fashioned backyard barbecue to bolster the summer mood. Embracing the summer spirit full-tilt is Sportsman’s Club, rolling out a new backyard barbecue series with a little help from local chefs and a local beer bar, while County Barbeque debuts its sprawling new patio just in time for al fresco feasting.

Now underway, the barbecue series at Sportsman’s Club features a rotating lineup of local chefs who also happen to be Sportsman’s Club regulars. Cosmo Goss of Publican Quality Meats kicked it off along with Local Option, which provided beer. Each leg in the series will feature different chef-made dishes paired with craft beers, served from 4:00 pm until supplies are gone. Next up will be Pat Sheerin from Trenchermen.

Over at County Barbeque, the Taylor Street haunt is rolling out its expansive new patio in its very own “backyard.” The brightly colored space featured lustrous fences, wooden picnic tables, and comfy patio furniture. The experience is perfectly accentuated by some of County’s new cocktails, including the Torn and Frayed with Cocchi Americano, cynar, grapefruit, and chinotto soda; and the Little Miss Mischief with Plantation dark rum, lemonhart 151, strawberry-habanero syrup, and lime.
