Nosh for Night Owls

In a boon to late-night revelers across the city, restaurants (and a doughnut shop) are mercifully extending their hours to help satiate our twilight hankerings. It would be especially convenient if said hankerings specifically included pierogi, mussels, and fritters.

River North’s late-night Mecca just got a lot tastier, thanks to extended weekend hours at Bohemian House. The Eastern European-inspired restaurant is perfectly poised to quell nighttime club-hoppers thanks to its array of enriching dishes. Because it doesn’t get much more satiating than bacon buns with plum marmalade, pierogies brimming with beef, or salt and vinegar chips adjoined by horseradish-onion dip. The restaurant is now open on Thursdays until midnight and on Fridays and Saturdays until 1:00 am.

A hop and a skip from Bohemian House, Glazed & Infused’s River North locale is perfect if your cravings skew sweet and doughy. On Fridays and Saturdays, the doughnut shop is now open until 2:00 am, comforting night owls with its seasonal confections like caramel pumpkin pecan doughnuts, white chocolate cranberry doughnuts, and apple cider doughnuts. There’s even a savory ham and cheddar doughnut with honey mustard glaze that tastes like a Cubano sandwich.

Over in Logan Square, newly revamped and opened Webster’s Wine Bar is serving up a late-night spread of its own. Courtesy of chef Aaron Mooney, the new late-night snacks menu hits the deck after 11:00 pm, featuring noshes like marinated olives, chorizo and Manchego, roasted garlic hummus, Spanish sardines, and mussels en escabeche.
