New Bites

Redhot Ranch, the popular Logan Square hot dog stand, will be opening a second location in Lakeview this fall. The 2,000-square-foot space will have seating for about 40 people, plus an eventual outdoor seating area. It’ll serve Depression Dogs (French fry-laden Vienna beef hot dogs) and fried shrimp, but will expand the menu by adding In-N-Out-style burgers.

Glazed and Infused, which has four locations at the moment, is looking for new spots to open doughnut shops in River North, Lakeview, and Andersonville. Also, they’ll soon be offering coffee made by local roaster Bow Truss – they previously served Intelligentsia coffee – and will have a signature blend, pour-over coffee, and espresso.

Great news for BBQ fans! Wicker Park’s Lillie’s Q, which incurred serious damage from a fire in March, reopened over the weekend. The restaurant, which serves all sorts of BBQ dishes, including pulled pork and tri-tip, is back to normal business hours. The Chicago French Market had been serving a limited menu due to a lack of kitchen space, but they’re also back up to full speed.

And there’s also great news for cocktail lovers – Logan Square bars Billy Sunday and Scofflaw recently extended their weekend hours. Billy Sunday will open at noon on Saturdays, while Scofflaw will open at noon on both Saturday and Sunday.
