Latin Food and Music Bring the Spring Heat
After the winter we’ve endured, we’re due for a thaw. No better way to heat things up than with some Latin flair courtesy of Sobremesa Supper Club and (((SONORAMA))). The dual Latin entities are partnering for “A Shot of Spring,” an event taking place April 19 to kick winter to the curb and beckon warmer weather.
Sobremesa is an underground supper club experience focused on Latin flavors using locally derived, seasonal ingredients as much as possible. Chef Gabriel Moya is the man behind the roving kitchen, which facilitates offbeat dinners and pop-up events such as this. (((SONORAMA))), meanwhile, is a DJ collective driven by uncommon Latin music. Both Latin organizations play to the beat of their own drums, and together they're in perfect harmony.
Latin flavors and Latin beats converge at Co-Prosperity Sphere (3219 S Morgan Street) in Bridgeport for an evening of food and fun. Sobremesa will curate a five-course meal displaying Latin-inspired spring fare paired with a secret locally brewed Berliner beer to be jazzed up with flavor shots specifically crafted for each course.
After eating, get to dancing. (((SONORAMA))) will be spinning Latin tunes all night long, from 8:00 pm until 1:00 am.
