Dive into Fish Bar’s New Weekly Menu Features
When it comes to combating the impending doom known as winter, the best antidote is warm-weather vacation on a plate or in a bowl. Like New Orleans-inspired jambalaya or fruitful seafood boils. One bite and you’ll forget all about the thermostat. The beachy bounties can be yours these coming months at Fish Bar, which just rolled out a slew of new weekly menu features.
Multiple days of the week feature a different menu highlight at Fish Bar, starting with a Taste of New Orleans on Tuesdays. Fresh, bold, and spicy, dishes like blackened red fish, New Orleans BBQ shrimp, muffulettas, and jambalaya are sure to transport you right to the French Quarter and out of your winter coat (at least mentally; you may want to leave it on!).
Seafood boils are on deck for Wednesdays. Each week it’s a different olio of nautical provisions, stewed up with seasonings and served with all the classic seafood boil accoutrements. Expect everything from lobster and crab to crawfish, shrimp, and other assorted shellfish.
Thursdays are all about oysters. And it doesn’t get any fresher or more pristine than the bivalves being peddled at this haute fish shack. Offered a la carte, the Thursday menu runneth over with crispy oyster sliders, chilled oysters bedecked with various mignonettes, and fried oysters with grits and lemon butter sauce.
Fish Bar puts the “fry” in Friday with their new Fish Fry Fridays. Each week derives inspiration from a new region, such as British-style fish fry with malt vinegar and steak fries; Midwestern-style with dill tartar sauce and lemon wedges; Gulf Coast-style with rémoulade, hush puppies, and fried okra; and Italian-style with fritto misto and vegetables.
To wrap up the week, it’s back to the classics on Saturdays and Sundays, wherein Fish Bar serves up old-school sensations such as steak Oscar, stuffed crab, pasta, and fried chicken.
