Chicago Craft Beer Week Beckons

It’s almost that time of year, the extended week where Chicago goes ballistic for craft beer. The 5th Annual Chicago Craft Beer Week takes place May 15 through May 25, a celebration of the city’s ever-burgeoning craft beer scene. Hosted by the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild, this year is bound to be bigger and better than ever, what with Chicago’s beer scene experiencing colossal numbers over the past years.

So how does one dutifully celebrate the beer scene in Chicago nowadays? By attending a spree of beer events throughout the city of course. Over the span of several days, CCBW will play host to a multitude of events at breweries both new and old, along with tap takeovers, chef/brewer collaborations, and special beer releases.

New this year to the CCBW roster is an overhauled, sleek new mobile app, featuring the entire schedule of CCBW events and data, with new enhancements such as the ability to build a personalized schedule, an “I’m Thirsty” button, and searchable events and venues.

CCBW kicks off with Beer Under Glass on May 15, an evening of craft beer and small plates set against the stunning backdrop of the Garfield Park Conservatory.
