Cheers to Septembeer at Allium
As Oktoberfest gets underway, a weeks-long excuse to drink and be merry, Allium at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago joins Four Seasons Hotels nationwide for Septembeer. The widespread beer fest is an apt foray into Oktoberfest, featuring a beer-focused menu of local brews that pair perfectly with some of Allium’s gourmet bar snacks.
Through the end of September, guests at Allium can get their beer on in a big way, sipping and guzzling their way through a bevy of locally produced brews. The Septembeer menu celebrates Chicago’s craft beer scene with selections from Revolution Brewing Company, Metropolitan Brewing Company, Two Brothers Brewing Company, Half Acre Beer Company, Goose Island, and 5 Rabbits Brewery. Allium also features its latest collaboration beer, dubbed Allium Avium, a black cherry saison made with last year’s Michigan cherries and brewed at Begyle Brewery.
All these beers beg to be paired with proper bar snacks. Allium’s Kevin Hickey does not disappoint with apropos beer-friendly fare such as beer bratwurst, soft pretzels with foie gras and Medjool date mustard, crispy chorizo bites, and bison tartare with waffle chips, 62-degree egg, and beer mustard.
