Three words: Wood. Burning. Pizza.
Owners Tony and Dan have been in the pizza business since 1996 and have recently taken the city by storm with their mobile addition of Caponies Express. WTTW had the pleasure of debuting their wood burning oven at the Check, Please! Food Truck Fest and we’re hoping this new addition becomes a staple on the truck.
While the Caponies daily menu includes everything from a Deep Dish Mini Pizza (cheese, sausage, or pepperoni) to the Arancini (rice balls coated with breadcrumbs filled with ground beef, marinara, mozzarella, peas – and then deep fried), their established and traditional menu gives you everything you’ve ever wanted in Italian cuisine.
