Two Restaurants Launch Lunch!

Baume & Brix

If you work around River North, good news – two restaurants have just added new lunch service, which means you can skip the brown bag and dine on foie gras sausage and tea-smoked duck breast for lunch this week at Baume & Brix and Sumi Robata Bar.

Baume & Brix is open Monday through Friday from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm for lunch. The restaurant, headed up by executive chefs Thomas Elliott Bowman and Ben Roche and chef de cuisine Nate Park, features a mix of large and small plates, including sandwiches for lunch. The new lunch menu includes potato chip gnocchi with caramelized onion-butter puree; Thai curry soup; a foie sausage sandwich with brandied apricot, caramelized onion, truffle mayo, goat cheese; and steak frites.

Sumi Robata Bar will be open Monday through Friday from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm for Gene Kato’s Japanese dishes. They’re offering bento boxes with miso or chicken soup, a green salad, seafood croquette, rice, and the choice of a vegetable, seafood, or protein cooked on the robata grill. Options include skirt steak, teriyaki-glazed salmon, and asparagus.
