Watermelon & Ice Cream

Fulton’s on the River

It’s National Ice Cream Month, and Hawaiian restaurant Sola is offering a three-course prix fixe menu that focuses on ice cream. The first course is octopus with sweet soy wasabi sorbet and ginger wakame seaweed. The second course is Wagyu hanger steak with fried blue cheese ice cream, roasted fingerlings, Chinese broccoli, and a port demi glaze. The final course is a flight of ice creams, including vanilla miso and cherry goat cheese. You can also add on additional wine pairings.

The most summery of fruits, watermelon gets the love it deserves all month at Fulton’s on the River. Every Friday through Sunday in July, you can order a four-course prix fixe menu focusing on watermelon. The menu features watermelon and tomato salad with crispy prosciutto, housemade ricotta, and basil vinaigrette; Alaskan halibut with melon consommé, pickled watermelon, and heirloom radishes; prime sirloin with watermelon jam; and panna cotta with watermelon and mint.
