  • Warm up your insides without braving the cold outside: order poutine delivery. BadHappy, Chicago’s poutine-centric restaurant just launched delivery of its fries/cheese curds/gravy treats. If extravagant poutines like The Good the Bad & the Happy, with pork belly, truffle mayo, foie gras mousse and gravy, frites, cheese curds, and a sunnyside egg (whew) is too much for you, opt for a burger instead.
  • Restaurant Week runs February 1-10, and while that’s still weeks away, you can make reservations now.  The event offers prix fixe lunch menus for $22 and dinners for $33 or $44, so you can snag some meals at a great discount. Participating restaurants include Balena, Baume & Brix, and Embeya, so you can check out some of the newcomers on the scene for less.
  • Dale Levitski (of Frog ’n Snail and Top Chef) created this month’s Falafill Chefs for Charity falafel. His sandwich, called The Hibernator, fills a white pita with traditional and curry falafel, steak, a yogurt spread, and julienned pears, celery root tossed in a red verjus, and frisee. Proceeds support PAWS Chicago.
