Free Coffee Anyone?

By Amy Cavanaugh

If there’s one thing better than starting the day with delicious coffee, it’s starting the day with free delicious coffee. From April 17 to 19, the Coffee Bar at Public Chicago will be loading their goods into a truck and driving around the city, proffering free cups of their custom blend of La Colombe Coffee and sweet treats from Kady Yon, the Pump Room's pastry chef.

The truck will be on the streets from 7:00 to 10:00 am and you can track its whereabouts in the traditional food truck way – via Twitter @publichotels. You won’t just get one free cup of joe, though – when you visit the truck, you’ll get a ticket for a complimentary cup of coffee redeemable at the Coffee Bar at Public Chicago. Plus, one person will get a ticket good for a free cup of coffee every day for a whole year. The Coffee Bar is located in The Library at the hotel, and is a cozy spot to settle in for the afternoon and work or meet a friend over baked goods and java, yogurt and granola, or whole wheat flatbreads with vegetables.
