With one year under its belt, DryHop Brewers is starting to broaden its beer breadth and dabble in new beer creations, further cementing itself as Lakeview’s preeminent beer haunt and one brewery to keep your eye on in Chicago. With summer’s finale in sight (sorry) and fall on the horizon, it’s time for DryHop to schedule some new firsts.
The first new release coming up is DryHop’s first Berliner Weisse, which will debut August 20 at 6:00 p.m. along with a tap takeover by Goose Island Five Sisters (aka Lolita, Juliet, Madame Rose, Halia, and Gillian – gang’s all here!).
Next is DryHop’s inaugural Oyster Stout, brewed with real oysters. That’ll make a splash on September 10, likely adjoined with some sort of Oyster Fest, because why not.
Then it’s DryHop’s premiere Oktoberfest, released on September 18 at 6:00 pm, followed by a Pumpkin Stout on October 29. This one’s an oldie but a goodie, a fan favorite from last year because everyone loves pumpkin anything. There will also be a tap takeover that evening featuring pumpkin beers from other craft breweries.
But that’s not all. DryHop is currently working on its first barrel-aged beer, to be released in November. Using a 15-gallon barrel of Tailwinds Distilling Company Taildragger Amber Rum that aged for 15 months, DryHop is currently infusing an oatmeal stout.
