It’s going to be a delicious few weeks around Chicago. Here are our picks for can’t-miss events.

Frontier hosts its third “So You Think You’re a Foodie” chef’s table dinner on February 27 at 8:00 pm. The dinner features a mystery five-course tasting menu showcasing Chef Brian Jupiter’s dishes and will be pheasant-focused. Considering Frontier serves alligator, kangaroo, and antelope, you’re going to be in for a gamey treat.

Big Jones’ latest Bourbon Society dinner on March 6 features sips from Michigan’s Journeyman Distillery. You’ll taste three whiskeys, a gin, and a vodka, plus dine on an Appalachian-inspired menu that chef Paul Fehribach created after reading The Foxfire Book of Appalachian Cookery, Ferne Shelton’s Southern Appalachian Mountain Cookbook, and Edna Lewis’ The Taste of Country Cooking. Expect country ham with biscuits and gravy, corn hominy soup, pigeon pie, and persimmon cake.

Missed Restaurant Week? No worries! Chicago Chef Week is right around the corner. Running March 17-22, Chicago Chef Week offers three-course prix fixe dinners for $44 a person, and $22 three-course lunch menus. The list features dozens of chef-driven restaurants, such as Autre Monde, Boka, The Gage, Lockwood, Nightwood, Sepia, and others. Check out the full list here.
